Reid Hoffman LiveBlogging 1O rules of Entrepreneurship

irst time ever liveblogging, but Reid is top 5 Internet human being.

1.  Disrupt:  How can I take something that costs 10 dollars and to turn it into 1 dollar

2.  Think Big:  Shopkick is trying to change all of retail shopping.

3.  Build a Network:  Board, employees, all the way up to audience

4.  Plan for Good and Bad Luck:  Good luck is finding the opportunity and pivoting.  Paypal started out as encryption and cash for mobile phones

5.  The rule of Flexible Persistence.  One one hand keep a vision.   But also change.  Look at the data.  What does your customer want?

6.  Launch early enough that you’re embarrassed by your 1.0 product release.  This applies to everybody but Steve Jobs.

7.  Always keep your aspirations and aim high, but drink your own kool aid.  You need to be paranoid and check whether something will work.

8.  Great Product idea is amazing.  Great distribution idea is even more important.

9.  Co-founder culture matters most.  Have the right few people to start.  Adaptation and Learning quickly.    World is changing every 2 or 3 years.

10.  These are not laws of nature.  Break these rules if you must.

Web 3 comes from explicit, implicit, and data collected from fast growing passive collectors.  New Vista of products will come from the utilization of this data.  It’s networks, data, and graphs.  l
